ON THE LIGHT
Introduction
Light is that which is hidden by the intensity of its own manifestation. It brings things forth into manifestation from the concealment of nonexistence to the outpouring of existence.

ON THE LIGHT
In The Qur'an
"God is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The likeness of His Light is as a niche, wherein is a lamp. The lamp is in a glass. The glass is as a shining planet kindled from a blessed olive tree, neither of the East nor of the West. Its oil would well-nigh shine forth, even if no fire had touched it. Light upon Light. God guides unto His Light whomsoever He will, and God sets forth parables for mankind, and God is Knower of all things." (Q Nūr 24:35)

ON THE LIGHT
In The Hadith
"There are servants of God who are not prophets, yet the prophets and martyrs envy them... They are those who love one another through the Light of God, not through family ties or lineage. Their faces are Light, upon pulpits of Light. They do not fear when others fear, nor grieve when others grieve." (Ibn Ḥibbān, Ṣaḥīḥ, 578)

Outward and
Inward
Outward vision is the eye of the sensory realm, and inward vision is the eye of outward vision, or the eye of the eye. For it perceives things as they actually are, since it is free from pupils and eyelids. It is hallowed beyond the imprint of forms and created beings.

It is the disclosure-site of the universal will from which the manifestations of relative and perspectival traces spring forth.

Witnessing
A distinct Qurʾānic expression with which the Almighty addresses His noble Prophet ﷺ over thirty times in the Qurʾān is, Has thou not seen? This teaches his Community that direct witnessing (mushāhada) is a foundational Qurʾānic principle for gnosis and unveiling, and a path for reaching the truth of certainty.
