COMPANIONSHIP
In His Company
High on his steed,
The horseman approaches,
Galloping with speed,
Handing out torches.
The needy draws near,
The arrogant flees,
Ever the exposer,
The horseman sees.
Through town and village,
Through mountain and sea,
He saves the lineage
Of the purest tree.
Children are born
Of love and light;
Darknesses mourn
Their successful flight.
His army ever grows,
His words ring true,
His light flows
Within many and few.
In the horseman’s world,
Light is monarch,
Smoothing the swirled,
Allowing the stars to embark.
In the horseman’s keep,
The servant is master,
The sour turns sweet,
The sun rises faster.
He teaches and preaches,
To those willing to listen,
Expanding his reach—
In his wake, plains glisten.
No need to fret in his company,
No need to worry, or speak,
For your mind is a symphony,
That he alone can heed.
Once with him, all is forgotten—
Pain, sorrow, tears, and grief.
It matters not if you’re in heaven,
Or buried in the depths of Hell.
